New arrival: Hanging porcelain planters by Farrah Sit. Farrah’s porcelain planter hangs from a vegetable tan leather strap with a solid brass screw. The bisque exterior is hand-sanded smooth, while the interior is finished with a clear glaze. A decorative wall piece to store small notions. Or use it as a planter for an herb garden or air plants.8 gorgeous pieces from Farrah are now available in the shop.

With the ethos “own less and own well” designer Farrah Sit focuses creating strikingly simple designs that speak to their intended purpose.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Sit spent years designing the tabletop collection for Calvin Klein, as well as having created collections for Vera Wang and Kim Seybert. For her own line, she focuses on using natural materials such as wood, ceramic, and metal to create furniture, light fixtures, and tabletop pieces. A selection of her own porcelain designs appeared at the “Handled with Care” exhibit during London Design Week in 2007. Sit’s work reflects an exacting attention to detail coupled with a kind of a quiet minimalism.
